Take a deep breath and leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind. Switch off your cell phone, check into your room and explore the forest around Schluchsee. On your return, enjoy a drink in the lounge or on the terrace, while the smell of fire already announces the menu in the restaurant. Afterwards, end the evening with a good glass of wine by the open fireplace. Sleep in the next morning, start the day with a lovingly prepared breakfast and then do whatever you feel like.

Hosts with great passion for craftsmanship, tradition and novelty

Hotel director Marius Tröndle, who was born in Waldshut-Tiengen and who grew up near Heidelberg, takes on a new
challenge in the old mill! Trained in hotel management at Schluchsee, business management in Zurich and as a chef in the former Michelin-star restaurant Da Gianni in Mannheim, he is an all-rounder and multi-talent with a focus on sustainability and honest, unpretentious hospitality and service.

Hotel Auerhahn

Hear the Call

A little further away from the Mühle, directly at lake Schluchsee, is our second project - the Auerhahn. The hotel, which has been owned by the Tröndle family for over 30 years, will reopen for the first time under its own management after a complete renovation in the summer of 2023. Auerhahn´s concept focuses on wellness, culinary, design and outdoor activities. Future guests will start the day actively in nature or be pampered right away in the spa by the fireplace. Culinary experiences will be offered at the highest gastronomic level in two restaurants and in the evening at the hotel bar. Marius Tröndle´s vision for his new hotel is to create a place full of myths and charged with emotions and history. A hotel like the area in which it stands.
